Ash

GENUS: FRAXINUS

Ash is a deciduous tree with 45-65 species that grow throughout northern Europe, Asia, and North America. Modesto ash is one species that was planted en masse in many Sacramento neighborhoods in the 1940s-60s. While these trees are beautiful, they are nearing the end of their lifespans and many are being removed.
